On the 10^th July 2011 Nazan Eckes presents the second episode of the latest gameshow „The Cube – Besiege den Würfel“ on RTL. If the contenders are able to fulfil apparently easy tasks, they have the chance to win a prize money in the amount of 250.000 €.

Within the “Ford Focus Challenge” the German automobile manufacturer raffles three extraordinary test drives with Nazan Eckes and her two fellows. On the 30th March Nazan Eckes presented the awards show of „Der deutsche Computerspielpreis“ and „LARA – der deutsche Games Award“. This year both awards were bestowed together in one event for the first time.
Pedagogically valuable computergames are awarded with "Der deutsche Computerspielpreis", which is halfway through promoted by the state. Whereas "LARA -AWARD" prices international computergames of all areas.

On 29th April Nazan Eckes presents the first episode of RTL’s newest Gameshow „The Cube – Besiege den Würfel“. One candidate has to fulfil apparently easy tasks under difficult conditions. The games take place in a small 4 x 4 x 4 meters cube. In this spectacular show the candidate has in total nine lives to manage the tasks and win a prize money in the amount of 250.000 €. For now “The Cube" will be shown one time.

The book of Nazan Eckes "Guten Morgen, Abendland: Almanya und türkei - eine Familiengeschichte" achieved the fifth place in the category non-fiction at the readers' price "Lesepreis 2010". In total 2.500 books stood in 10 categories to the selection. Only the readers decide which books shall be nominated and priced with this award.

Nazan Eckes' first book "Guten Morgen, Abendland: Almanya und Türkei - eine Familiengeschichte" is alike a huge success. At the 15th of October, will be the release of "Guten Morgen Abendland: Almanya und Türkei - eine Familiengeschichte" written by Nazan Eckes. In her debut as a writer the RTL-moderator tells her own personal story about growing up between two opposed cultures and problems with integration at the beginning. Because of her own experiences Nazan Eckes reports authentically about the first two Turkisch generations in Germany and provides a sight into her own childhood.

With immediate effect Nazan Eckes is the patronage of the Ronald McDonald House in Cologne. Together with the retired Lord Mayor Fritz Schramma she will support the home on time and wants to make a contribution to more people knowing about tis opportunity. The RTL-moderator believes in the concept that closenes helps healing and wants to assist the relevant people.
